Meet The Team
Syrita Braswell-O’Neal, LPC-Associate
Affirming Therapist for Black Mental Health & LGBTQ+ Community
Hi, I’m Syrita! As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas and Connecticut, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. My work focuses on trauma recovery, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, religious trauma, and major life transitions.
I am dedicated to providing affirming, inclusive therapy for the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring that every client feels respected, valued, and understood. With a background in social justice and advocacy, I take a compassionate, client-focused approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative, empowering experience, where you gain the tools to process past experiences, strengthen relationships, and build a future that aligns with your values. My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, helping clients recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the body. Together, we will work toward healing, self-acceptance, and lasting transformation.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.
Kiandra Daniels, LMFT-S, ADHD-CCSP
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Supervisor | ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider
Hello & Welcome! I’m Kiandra Daniels, a Texas therapist passionate about providing culturally competent therapy for Black individuals, couples, and families. I founded Color Wheel Therapy in 2020 with the mission of improving Black mental health access and creating a safe, affirming space for healing.
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and my M.S. in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. With experience in individual therapy, family and couples therapy, inpatient care, and intensive outpatient settings, I specialize in helping Black teens and adults (ages 13-65) navigate high-functioning anxiety, depression, identity struggles, grief, life transitions, relationships, trauma, LGBTQ+ concerns, and cultural challenges. I’m also passionate about supporting Black college students, especially HBCU students, as they navigate adulthood and mental health challenges.
My approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and tailored to your unique needs, incorporating CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based techniques to help you heal and thrive. More than anything, I want to reduce the stigma around Black mental health and empower my clients to embrace growth, self-awareness, and emotional wellness.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy art, music, traveling, real estate, trying new foods, working out, and spending time with my loved ones—including my dog, Lavish!
My motto: Be scared, and do it anyway.
